Welcome to Fauquier Family Cemetery Foundation
Purpose
The Fauquier Family Cemetery Foundation Inc., (a/k/a FFCF or the Foundation) is organized exclusively for the purpose to research, document, preserve, and maintain family cemeteries located outside church or other public control in Fauquier County. The Foundation administration and its work force are volunteers committed to preserving existing family graveyards in Fauquier County. Our Charter allows us to solicit funds for this purpose and cover expenses relating to maintaining family cemeteries in Fauquier County, VA, as a 501(c)(13) tax exempt corporation.
Research Center: Our goal is to identify and have a photo of every possible family cemetery/graveyard in Fauquier County someday. A major task. We have about 450 visited so far, and as the website is loaded you will be able to see some of the names we have visited. If you have a cemetery/ graveyard on your property, or your family cemetery is in Fauquier County, please let us know about it and we will put it on our task list of sites to visit if we have not been there yet. E-mail us the information.
Community Outreach: One of our goals is to encourage neighborhoods in Fauquier County to embrace and help monitor and if possible, maintain local graveyards in their neighborhood. This is a win/win for both parties, as the graveyard gets cleaned and maintained, which in turn helps property values, and joins the neighborhood in a common cause. Inventory of Burials updated as time permits
This is an on going list, as we find a cemetery and obtain information on the burials within the cemetery our goal is to add them to this list for researchers and genealogist. It will never be complete, but always growing. If you have questions relating to an individual on the list or a burial site. Please send us an e-mail and we will see how we can help you.

Covid give us a hit, and the Foundation Administration is diligently working to reenergize our programs. If you know of a family cemetery/graveyard in Fauquier County on private property that needs help. Please let us know. Our staffing is not up to speed yet to go out and look for them. If you would like to volunteer and be part of our conservation and preservation efforts let us know.
